The 3rd N.E. INDIA INTER COLLEGE DEBATING COMPETITION

 

The 3rd N.E. INDIA INTER COLLEGE DEBATING COMPETITION was held in the college on 28 January, 2016. Hon’le Sjt PA Sngma, Former Speaker of Lok Sabha had kindly grace the occasion as the Speaker and Sjt Samudra Gupta Kashyap, North East Correspondent of The Indian Express inaugurated the competition. Sjt. Mayur Borah, Faculty Member, Indian Institute of Bank Management, Guwahati, Dr. Shrutimala Duara, Associate Professor, Handiqui Girl’s College, Guwahati and Sjt. Dipak Sarma, Sr. Advocate, Gauhati High Court and Television Analyst, Prag News, Guwahati were the honourable judges in the competition.

All together 16 teams had participated including the universities of Manipur, Gauhati, Tezpur Central and Assam Cotton College State University. The participants from the Higher Educational Institute of Assam and from the neighboring states of Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur were participated.

Sri. Samujjal Dutta of Assam Academy of Media Studies, Guwahati, Sri. Bhanu Poudel of Tezpur Central University and Sri. Bijit Kalita of Chhaygaon College were adjudged as the Best, and Best and 3rd Best Debater accordingly. The Assam Cotton College State University and Kohima Science College were adjudged as the Best and 2nd Best Team.
